On Monday, April 18th, I made the iconic journey from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in Boston, as part of the 2016 Boston Marathon. The day was a hot one, with a temperature of 71°F at the 10:00 AM start for the Elite Men and Wave 1. I didn't let that impede me though, as this was a race I was born for. Mile by mile, town by town, I ran, passing friends, family, teammates, and coworkers, shouting their support. The atmosphere and energy in the air throughout the course was absolutely insane, and it was like one (very) long parade filled with endless happiness and excitement. I wish those last few miles could have lasted forever, as nothing compared to the joy I felt rushing through the thronging crowds, fist pumping and screaming their support. Check out the results here!
